Our 60-inch Union Garage Tailor’s tape is made from a flexible vinyl that has proven to be the exact “right tool for the job” of measuring one’s head for a helmet.

We’re proud of the proven 5-star helmet shopping experience we’ve developed over the years, but we realize not everyone can make it to Union Street for a professional fitting.

In a bid to extend this service to anyone shopping from home we've put together an ease online . This quick questionnaire is designed to jumpstart the process and give us a baseline from which to advise you on the most important piece of protective gear you can buy.

While you can use a scrap piece of string and transcribe the reading onto a measuring tape you may already own, we’ve found a direct reading with a flexible tailor’s tape to be the most accurate. 

The path to a happy "New Helmet Day!" starts with accurate measurement, but that's not the whole story. When we measure someone in person in the store we also get a full helmet history, plus we scope out shape of their particular melon—hence the consult form, complete with optional clinical headshot photo uploads. Awkward, but useful!
